You know how you always walk past a shop but never thought to enter until one day you decided to just stop by? Well, I was craving for udon the night before and we decided to stop by this place on the way back home. And boy, was I glad we did.

I’m afraid the menu is only in Japanese. If you are unsure of it, you could ask the staff which udon they would recommend, 「おすすめはなんですか」or “osusume wa nan desuka” and they will ask if you like your udon cold or warm.

Just a heads up though, if you do not know what bukkake is, I suggest you type “Bukkake udon” instead of “Bukkake” when you are googling because you might be surprised. Or maybe not.

I ordered 「まいたけ天ぶっかけ」and in romaji it’s “Maitake-ten Bukkake”, which is fried grifola frondosa – in other words, fried mushroom udon. This udon is so delicious I wouldn’t shut up about it. The portion may look small but it was filling. 560yen well spent.

My friend, on the other hand, ordered 「野菜天ぶっかけ」and in romaji it’s “Yasai-ten Bukkake”. It’s veggie udon and it was really good as well. The veggie udon cost 590yen. They do sell rice as well but I highly recommend the udon instead.

The shop might be small, with 2 long tables – 14 to 15 capacity for each table and other 6 at the small one. We arrived during lunch time and it was pretty packed by then. But around 1:30p.m, it starts to get a little empty so I would suggest stopping by around this time.

The atmosphere and the music playing was really nice, which, in my opinion a thumbs up. I had a short conversation with the staff and they were really friendly. I will definitely be back here again to try the others.
